Fun In Jerusalem loves to inspire families to visit the local Jerusalem museums. Here is a list of the current exhibits and the special kids activities happening this summer. New information is added as we hear about it.

“Summer Fun” – This summer the Bible Lands Museum is turning its main galleries into interactive environments that engage adults and children simultaneously. Visitors will find a trove of surprises for on-hands learning experience like rolling cylinder seals to create beautiful impressions, minting coins, painting clay jugs, and selfie photos as Pharaoh, Achashverosh, or King David. “Magical Mystery Tour” – In August, the Bible Lands Museum will magically transform into a school for witches and wizards! Children of all ages are invited to join a unique theatrical tour. You will meet the famous Spell Master and learn ancient secrets on your way to becoming a certified wizard.

The City of David is a unique archeological museum with daily tours through ancient aqueducts with water and dry tunnels. Walk the Hizkiyahu Tunnels with flashlights in knee deep water and see how the City of David constructed tunnels to bring water to the Temple. Walk in the Valley to Absalom’s Pillar, dig through ancient dirt to find artifacts, ride a camel or tour Mt of Olives.
Hallelujah – Night Show at City of David – watch the story of this ancient city and King David as lights and sound are projected off the walls of the City of David. Shows every evening Sunday – Thursday. Take the shuttle from First Station parking lot to City of David. Purchase Tickets.

The Mount – a Photographic Journey to the Temple Mount – This new exhibit takes you through the years from the time of the first photographers till today to see the history of the Mount. The highlight of the exhibit is the Virtual Reality glasses (Tower of David Innovation Lab) that take you on to the Mount and even into the Dome of the Rock.

KING DAVID & The Night Spectacular – Each evening the walls of the Tower of David come alive with a spectacular light show depicting the story of Jerusalem. This year the new show KING DAVID tells the story of the Jewish King and his connection to the city of Jerusalem. Purchase Tickets.
