Art Workshops are a great family activity for a Winter trip to Jerusalem. All of the workshops we recommend are run by artists who have opened up their studios to tourists. Many of the workshops have an Israeli or Judaic theme, making them unique experiences.

Arts & Crafts
Glass Blowing – Learn about the art of Glass Blowing and Flame Working from Yael, a Bezalel graduate. Yael gives you an introduction to the science and art of the craft and then gives you a hands on experience to create your own pieces of art.
Rave Mosaics – Using broken glass you will be guided by Roochie to create your own unique piece of art. After your workshop, don’t miss popping into the great artist studios along the Artist’s Colony st. (Hutzot Hayotzer)
Kiyor Ceramics – Unique ceramic workshops led by Chaya Esther inspired by the Holy Land. Located just next to Machane Yehuda Market.
Hadara Ceramics– Spend some time, get creative and messy in Hadara’s ceramics studio in Jerusalem, Derech Beit Lechem. The spacious studio welcomes small and big groups, Hadara is an artist with many years experience and offers workshops for adults and children (ages 3+).
Workshops Outside Jerusalem
The Workshop Gush Etzion – Mandy & Jeremy will teach you how to use their professional wood working equipment to make a piece of Judaica art with your family.
Meshek48 – Devorah & David Katz (formerly of Pat BaMelach) would love to welcome you to their new space in Kibbutz Rosh Zurim, where they offer a fabulous range of food workshops. You can book a private family workshop, or join an existing one.
Creative Crafts – Come and visit Dana at the Creative Crafts Studio in Gush Etzion where you can choose from a variety of projects. We recommend their Family Projects. Ask about special option for evening workshops as well.
Uri Kalfa – Mezuzah workshop – More than just a workshop, Uri will teach you about the mitzva of Mezuzah as you create your own mezuzah case. Studio is located in Maale Adumim.
Kakadu Family Art Workshop – Meet Reut an international artist and founder of Kakadu. Reut will guide you through a family project and help you create a beautiful piece of functional art, painted in the destinctive Kakadu colors, to take back home with you. Her studio is located in the beautiful Ella Valley, just outside Beit Shemesh.
Artesana Glass Fusing Workshop – Create plates, bowls, trays, mezuzot, jewelry, pictures and more. Be creative with special materials, discover the magical world of glass, play with glass and create beautiful pieces of art. Located in Mevo Heron, 30 minutes from Jerusalem.
