Along the ramparts are about 20 life-size statues of Jerusalem’s defenders from different periods – such as Hasmonean soldiers, Great Revolt-period fighters, Crusader knights, Ottomans, and a fighter from the War of Independence – which all “come to life”, through an augmented reality app, and tell their story.
On Jerusalem Day and on Shavuot, come to the “Three Domes” observation point – an unforgettable experience – on top of Damascus Gate. Climb the steps of the Ancient Gate directly to the northern ramparts and walk along the ramparts to Jaffa Gate.
