Jerusalem is a great place to vacation in the summer but it’s always great to find some air conditioned activities. Art & food workshops are a great way to entertain kids of all ages.

ART WORKSHOPS

Have you ever wondered what is behind the mitzvah of Mezuzah? Why do Jews all over the world hang one up on every doorpost? At an Uri Kalfa Mezuzah Workshop you will lear about this special Jewish tradition while you make your own mezuzah case. Enjoy the creative hands on workshop in Uri Kalfa’s Studio in Maale Adumim. urikalfa@funinjerusalem.com

There is nothing cliche about this workshop. Lianna invites you into her Studio Kli’Che for three creative DIY Workshops – Workshops take place in the Design Co-Operative right near First Station.
Choose a Candle Making Workshop, Cement Planter Workshop, or Sun Printing – or request all three. Sun printing is my personal favorite, especially the blue throw pillow cases with nature designs studiokliche@funinjerusalem.com

Yael Artesana’s Hot Glass Fusing Workshop is probably the only place where it’s ok to break glass. Create your own unique piece of glass art – plates, bowls, mezuza and more. Located in Mevo Horon near Modiin or for large groups she can come to you. glassart@funinjerusalem.com

Learn to mold ceramic clay and to create your own individual piece of art. Pieces are left to dry in the kiln and can then be painted by you or by Hadara. No need to sign up for a workshop – just email her to reserve a time to come in and start at your own pace.  hadara@funinjerusalem.com

No experience required and each person comes out of the workshop with their own unique version of the painting.
