One of Jerusalem’s most meaningful family-friendly activities, Pantry Packers offers a world-class tzedakah experience where visitors actively help pack food for Israeli families experiencing food insecurity.
During this interactive 1.5-hour experience, participants suit up in aprons, hairnets, and gloves and work together to stamp, label, fill, seal, and box food packages that are distributed throughout Israel.
The experience includes:
- A short video featuring recipient families
- An interactive exhibit showcasing Colel Chabad’s rich history dating back to 1788
- Original ledgers, photographs, and historic tzedakah boxes
- A hands-on food packing experience that directly benefits families in need throughout Israel
- A gift shop, mini-museum, and complimentary snack shack
- Opportunities for visitors of all ages and abilities to participate
Bar and Bat Mitzvah visitors receive a special certificate and gift in recognition of their participation. Families can also take part in a personalized online Mitzvah Project and have a plaque displayed on our Simcha Wall.
Individual reservations are required and can be made online.
