Songs of Ushpizin Festival

The festival, produced by the Confederate House and under the artistic direction of poet and writer Benjamin Shvili, will focus on pilgrimage, wandering and exiting the protected space of the house.

During the three days of the festival, there will be performances of original music written especially for the festival with Hebrew poetry and poetry from around the world. From Japanese haiku poetry, through the great Polish poetry to the poetic writings of Rabbi Nachman of Breslav; From Indian nomadic songs, through the final women’s song to Dalia Ravikovic; From across America by Bob Dylan, the Syrian poet Adonis – to Rabbi Yehuda Halevi’s longing for the Holy Land.

The festival will be marked by the celebration of Rabbi Nachman of Breslav (Yorzeit), who passed away on the 3rd day of Sukkot.

The festival will be held on zoom.
