Israel Festival

The Israel Festival is an annual arts festival which includes plays, concerts, dance performances and more.

This year, it’s being held in Jerusalem, the Western Negev, the Upper Galilee and the Northern Golan Heights. Significantly, it’s also going South – in Ofakim, in Kibbutz Urim and in Kibbutz Tze’elim. For each of these sites, unique content has been selected that matches the spirit of the place and what it has been through.

Performances at the Jerusalem Theater include……

The Musicians is a social-musical project that was born immediately after October 7 and brings together young creators who process what they have been through through sounds and melodies. This year, the Musicians look north – to the painful spaces. Over the past few months, young creators  have written, composed and performed pieces that reflect the reality of their lives.
In partnership with the Jerusalem Municipality & the Jerusalem Foundation

From Dust to Gold: The award-winning Israeli-international trumpeter’s new album stems from reality. It was written in the wake of that Sabbath and contains a wide emotional musical range that moves on the axis between despair and rage and hope and major optimism. The album’s title, From Ashes to Gold, contains within it the great aspiration – to transform evil into good, the ugly into beautiful, the lowly into sublime.

Speeches Against Despair: Gori Alfi and Eli Habib will host a dream team of performers, who will give their interpretation of great historical speeches, from a variety of moments and places in the world. One by one, they will take to the big stage at the Jerusalem Theater, armed with true intentions and polished words. Each of them will give their own personal touch to those words.
