Or B’Yerushalayim: A Festive Hanukkah Gathering to Shine a New Light of Hope in Jerusalem
A festive and musical march of light from the YMCA to HUC Taube Family Campus, in partnership with The Jerusalem International YMCA and Hebrew Union College and includes messages of hope and donuts for all!
The gathering is part of HUC’s broader initiative, “Or B’Yerushalayim.” For the first time ever, they are placing a large Hanukkiah at the entrance to the campus.
About the Initiative
Each evening of Hanukkah at 5pm, they will hold a public candle lighting ceremony that highlights the diverse voices and communities shaping the city. The event seeks to bring warmth and light to Jerusalem’s winter by offering a shared, community-centered candle lighting in partnership with civic organizations, educational institutions, and local communities.
