Tickets are now on sale for Beit Avi Chai’s Children’s Hospital Book Festival 2026
It’s a four-day experiential book festival for the whole family, celebrating some of Israel’s best-loved children’s books.
Coinciding with Hebrew Book Week, the festival offers great events focused on kids and families.
It’s a highlight of a Jerusalem Summer!

- daily book repair and restoration workshops
- a colorful book fair
- meetups with Israel’s famous children’s authors
The festival will conclude with a festive ceremony to announce the winners of the “Secrets of Disappearance” writing competition, and a special meeting with the siblings of the most beloved cat in Hebrew literature.

STORYTIME IN ENGLISH – with Susan Fried – June 9, 5pm:
With years of experience and a big heart for storytelling, Susan brings stories to life with warmth, laughter, and plenty of opportunities for kids to join in the fun—singing, giggling, and imagining together. (Recommended for 4 years +)
IN HEBREW
MOONLIGHT STORIES (SIVAN) – June 9 @ 5pm
A theatrical performance and workshop in honor of the month of Sivan. “The Fox and the Brothers “- A sly fox comes to the field and in the moonlight he reveals the secret of two loving brothers. (Recommended ages 5-10 year olds)
WHAT DO SONGS DO? A musical storytelling show for children and parents – June 11, 4pm
Journey through old and new children’s songs, with the creators of “One Song,” Maya Kosover and Nir Gorali, for children and parents who want to sing their favorite songs as if for the first time. (Recommended for 8-12 year olds)
