Lotus Festival in the Botanical Gardens

The festival of the summer is coming to the Botanical Gardens. The Lotus Festival will include ecological art projects, tours of the greenhouse, and art exhibits.

The lotus blossom is considered one of the most beautiful blooming flowers in nature. Come and celebrate this beautiful blossom this summer at the Botanical Gardens lake full of blooming lotus.

Natural Arts & Crafts Workshops:

Workshops from natural materials – decorate and dye materials using fruits & lotus seeds. Create art form material found in the gardens. In honor of the event, hand-painted coloring pages of the garden’s variety of flowers and vegetation will be distributed.

Guided Tours of the Tropical Greenhouse:

Tours in the Tropical Greenhouse Tours take place every hour from 10:00am – 2:00pm. The tour lets the garden visitors see the natural beauty of the local flowers where you can touch, smell and sometimes even taste the plants and their fruits. In the tropical greenhouse, there are about 300 different and special species of plants with different shapes, colors and uses including endangered plants, spectacular banana trees, coffee bushes, orchids and cacti.

The greenhouse is divided into two areas: the first is a tropical zone, while the second is a desert area; Both are characterized by rich vegetation adapted to climate by geographical regions with ecological environments that exhibit a large range of habitats.

Floral Interior Paintings for Kids!

You choose what you would like  paint – your hands, feet or face – inspired by the botanical garden, lotuses, flowers and plants and also just decorations to brighten the day with some color for the soul. All washable paint.

Be Inspired by the Lake and Garden:

Guests are invited to bring their own painting kits or coloring sheets from home, or purchase painting kits from the garden shop and enjoy the scenery.

The festival will take place every Saturday in July.
