Museums
Ein Yael: Take a walk down an ancient Roman street and meet people who can teach you to create mosaics, bake pita, weave baskets and more. There will be an archery competition and Psik Theater for kids. This is a wonderful living museum that is only open during the week on holidays and in the summer. It is situated in the beautiful hills across the road from the zoo and has plenty of shady areas. Click here for a 10% coupon.
Israel Museum: Visit the newly renovated Israel Museum. The Youth Wing has a special schedule of events for kids including a recycling workshop. Take a taxi because the parking is impossible and make sure to order tickets from us in advance. Children are free on Sukkot.
Museum of the Underground Prisoner: Fun In Jerusalem and the Museum present an English scavenger hunt that takes you through the museum. Perfect for kids ages 7+.
Beit Avi Chai: Comic workshops, sukka exhibits and children's plays. There will be activities for kids and teens during the week.
Sports:
Challenge Tours: Arrange for Yaakov to take your kids (ages4+) rappelling in the Valley Ben Hinom outside the Old City Walls, or jeeping in the Judean desert or on a ropes course in Jerusalem.
City Events
Jerusalem March: Join the annual march through Jerusalem. Choose a path from Ammunition Hill or the Tayelet and march through the center of town. Kids activities will be going on all day at Gan Sacher.
Birkat Cohanim: On Sunday Sept 26 join thousands of people at the Western Wall for the special blessing from the Cohanim. Plan to walk there because the Old City will be closed to cars.
Concerts
Rok Ami: Annual Jewish Rock Concert in Beit Shemesh
Dudu Fisher and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra: Support Leket (Table to Table) and enjoy a beautiful concert at the Jerusalem Theater.
Outside Jerusalem
Mini Israel: See all of Israel in one day...kid sized. There will be guided tours and a live kids show each day.
Neot Kedumim: See an exhibit of Sukkot from the time of the Mishna.
