Opening Ceremony of the Memorial Day Events for the Fallen of Israel’s Armed Forces and Victims of Hostile Acts
The Jerusalem Municipality, the Ministry of Defense, the Families, Commemoration and Heritage Division, the “Yad Labanim” organization, and the IDF Widows and Orphans Organization, invite you to watch the main ceremony opening the Memorial Day events.
The ceremony will center on the stories of those who fell in all of Israel’s wars – not through the moment of their fall, but through their lives, their image, and the light they left behind. Alongside video clips and live music, a sequence will be built that illuminates the person behind the name, the values and legacy he continues to pass on, in a way that connects personal memory with the landscape, the community, and the collective memory.
