Summer Arts Camp @ The Open Studio

“Expose your children to limitless possibilities, inspiration, and motivation, allowing them to imagine and to create their own worlds. For twelve years, The Open Studio has offered arts camps where children are inspired to learn and create in Jerusalem. Come join us where art is for everyone!“

SESSION 1: JULY 1-10 – ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN

In this exciting session, children will dive into architecture and design. They’ll create miniature models of their favorite rooms at home and solve design, building, and engineering challenges. The young architects will also collaborate to build an imaginary city with infrastructure, transportation, housing, and recreational facilities. Additionally, they’ll develop projects focused on designing their own homes. Join us for a hands-on experience that blends creativity, teamwork, and practical skills. During the second week, we will venture into the word of design.

SESSION 2: JULY 13-17 – GLASS & MOSAICS

Lets take something, smash it and put it back together in a beautiful way! Please bring us any pretty broken pottery, dishware, and we will give it new life! Glass Painting & Mosaics

SESSION 3: JULY 20-31  – ECO ARTS & FIBER ARTS

Nearly everything has artistic potential. In this session, we’ll transform everyday items, especially those we usually throw away, into new creations. We’ll find art in every used object. We’ll use materials like newspapers, bottle caps, egg cartons, coffee pods, milk bottles, and corks. We’ll also make our own natural bath scrubs and lip balm. We will learn how to conserve, create, and re-create in sustainable and responsible ways. This hands-on experience will show children how to turn waste into wonderful art. During our second week, we will explore the world of art with fabrics. This exploration includes Batik, sewing, fabric collage, wet felting, and more.

I have had four children attend The Open Studio’s camps throughout the years, and I’m proud to say we were some of its first campers!  We are lucky to come to Israel during the summer for a couple of weeks at a time, and my kids have had an absolutely amazing time at the Open Studio.  Avigayle’s creativity and love for children shines through everything she does. My kids look forward to camp at The Open Studio all year! – Sara Emerson Helfand, Los Angeles
