Yom HaShoah Movie Screening at the Jerusalem Theater

The Most Precious of Cargoes

Special screening of new film by Oscar winner Michel Hazanavicius on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day

“The Most Precious of Cargoes” is a new film by Oscar winner Michel Hazanavicius (“The Artist”). A moving adaptation of the award-winning novel of the same name, set during World War II. In the hands of a master, it is transformed into a stunning animated drama – a powerful and moving work of art about life, compassion, the greatest evil, and all the good in the human heart.

A poor lumberjack and his wife live alone in the forest. Their lives are modest and not easy, filled with cold, poverty, and the war around them. One day, the lumberjack’s wife saves a baby girl who is thrown from one of the many trains passing through the forest. The baby girl, the most precious of goods, will forever change the life of the couple and the lives of everyone she meets along the way – those who want to protect her, and those who do not.
