Gilat Israel
Gilat Israel is an international nonprofit dedicated to supporting Israel’s most vulnerable pediatric patients—those facing long-term, complex, and life-threatening illnesses. Inspired by the memory of Gilat z”l, an extraordinary 11-year-old girl who radiated joy even in the darkest moments of her illness, the Foundation brings emotional, psychological, and social healing to children who spend months—and sometimes years—in hospitals.
Founded in the Netherlands, their work began long before the war, but following the horrors of October 7th, Gilat programs flew to Israel and became lifelines. They were one of the first organizations to respond to the urgent and essential needs of hospitalized children displaced and wounded by the war.
