Daily Tours, in English, of the incredible new Museum

Ever wondered when Jerusalem was first talked about? Or when the menorah became a national symbol? Do you know where the inspiration comes from for Israel’s 1 shekel coin today?

The tour passes through the impressive galleries of the renewed Tower of David Jerusalem Museum, combining genuine archaeological artifacts with movies, interactive screens, and innovative video-art presentations that trace the history of the city from Biblical times to the capital of the State of Israel.

The tour first explores the chronlogical history of the city and then, looking at large scale models, the tour continues through to look at Jerusalem’s sanctity to Judaism, Christianity and Islam through time.

Touch the stones of Jerusalem’s history from First Temple Period until today in the ancient citadel of Jerusalem.

The tour ends on the observation deck of a 2000 year-old tower built by King Herod during the time of the 2nd Temple which shows the most breathtaking panoramic views of Jerusalem – both the new city and Old City, the Mount of Olives, Mount Scopus and on a good day all the way to the Jordanian mountains.
