Thursday Night Cholent and Bakery Tour

Taste the famous Cholent places of Geula and Mea Shearim and experience the hustle and bustle of a Thursday night. We will have a chance to go to some bakeries as well and purchase freshly baked goodies for Shabbat and for eating right there. We may even go to my favorite secret salatim place. Learn about the customs and culture of the neighborhoods as well. You pay for the cholent and food that you want to eat.

Shuk Machane Yehuda

Learn the history of this Jerusalem gem. Along the way you’ll experience the sights, sounds, smells and of course tastes of Jerusalem’s beloved marketplace.  Available as a Mehadrin tour too.

The Shtisel Tour

Take  an in depth look at the culture surrounding the Shtisel characters and  learn the customs, see the commerce, learn about society and their interactions and  re-live the series touring of the  locations from Seasons 1 and 2. If walking is difficult, then you can take short cab rides in between neighborhoods.  You will have the opportunity to sample the foods that were eaten at the “heimishe” restaurants in Geula and/or Mea Shearim like Giti’s. (Meals are an additional, seperate cost). Modest attire required.

Hidden Gems of the Old City or the New City

Think you know Jerusalem? Think again. Debra will take you exploring the nooks and crannies, shuls, doors, courtyards of either the Old or New City.

Or she can curate a special Jerusalem tour just for you!
