The National Library, one of the most impressive buildings in Jerusalem, is also one of the leaders in the world in the field of sustainability and protecting the environment.

During the tour you’ll will discover the innovative solutions that make the building particularly green: we will reveal the secret of the “ecological air conditioner” – an advanced system that saves energy by means of a unique combination of stones. Understand how the reading hall was designed for optimal use of natural light, and tour the library garden among the Mediterranean vegetation that reflects the landscapes of the country.

Join us and discover the green side of the National Library, which was awarded the highest rating of the American Green Building Standard.

In honor of Tu B’Shevat, the tour will include a special entrance to the exhibition “There Are Flowers: Between the Pages of the National Library”. See the original posters of the “Go Out and Don’t Pick” campaign, ancient books with dried flowers inside, and original recordings of the most beloved flower songs in Israeli culture.
