Yours, Ruth | Flowers, Paintings and Love

A special meeting with Hila Sachsenberg, Director of Digital Collections at the Library, and Dr. Naomi Yuval-Naeh, Natural Historian and Curator of the Plant Collection.

Against the backdrop of Ruth’s magnificent flower paintings and Naomi’s writings, in the exhibition “There Are Flowers: Between the Pages of the National Library,” this talk uncovers the unique connection between the two, which later became a long-standing professional partnership, and also – a great love.

Dr. Naomi Yuval-Naeh, is a faculty member in the Department of General History and historical curator at the National Natural History Collections, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She studies the history of natural history in the 19th–20th centuries in Britain and the Land of Israel.

Hila Sachsenberg, is the Director of Digital Collections within the National Library’s Archives and Special Collections System.
