The Yoni Cohen – Idov Center for Debate and Rhetoric presents: The Jerusalem debate summer workshop at Pelech Girls’ High School.

WHAT IS DEBATING?
Debating is the world’s most popular way of learning persuasion, public speaking, argumentation and rhetoric. It is a thrilling, challenging game, in which you learn to argue convincingly and confidently as well as to speak charismatically in front of an audience.
This workshop will have both a Beginner and an Advanced group and is therefore open to both those who have previous experience in debate and public speaking and those who are trying it out for the first time! There will be groups in English and in Hebrew.
The workshop is directed by Alon Cohen who has over 10 years of experience in teaching debating. This year’s head Counselor is Avital Stahl.

All participants are welcome, and we pride ourselves on having brought together teens from all religious and cultural backgrounds to debate and learn with one another.
