Israel Police Heritage Center & Museum

The Israel Police Heritage Centre & Museum is located next to the Israeli National Police Academy, near Beit-Shemesh.

The displays in the Heritage Centre tells the story of police in Israel, from the first Jewish defense organizations in the late Ottoman period and the British Palestine Police Force, through the foundation of the Israel Police and its activities throughout the years, to the duties fulfilled by it today.

A visit to the police museum is a wonderful way to discover the unknown history of Israel, as seen through the eyes of its law-enforcement officers. Their guides are all active and experienced police officers, bring history alive and help the audience experience some of the challenges, which Israel’s finest faced throughout the years.

For younger visitors there is a rack of police and Border Guard uniforms in a selection of children’s sizes which they are welcome to wear. There’s also a cute activity booklet with a road safety focus and printed card sheets with pictures of different police vehicles.

They offer guided tours to organized groups (25 visitors or more). English tours can be arranged.
