Each group chooses a navigator, teacher, photographer, notekeeper ( and a Banker for the Nachlaot tour). You are given a Mission Pack with tasks and clues of things to do in the area. Answers can be found from the street names, houses in the area, colors that they see etc. Through the game you learn about the neighborhood, the history and the culture. This is a great family activity for ages 6-70. The tour ends with an inspirational message.

It's 1.5-2 hours long with a facilitator who gives you a summary at the end.  It's available in English or Hebrew.

Suitable for groups and individuals, adults and kids, tourists and Israeli's.

Available hunts include:

Old City Scavenger Hunt – There is no better time than now to visit the streets of ancient Jerusalem to solve the mystery of the Jewish scholars and farmers who lived in the area.  There was one person who foresaw it all, and his vision is set in stone for generations to ponder. Who is this person? What is the story of ancient Jerusalem? And how did the weak overcome the mighty?  On the Old City Scavenger Hunt you will make your way through the alleys and squares of the Jewish Quarter in the Old City, maps and mission packs in hand, to solve the questions.

Nachlaot Scavenger Hunt-  The Nachlaot Neighborhood is where some of Israel’s most well known political, cultural and religious leaders grew up – yet it is one of Jerusalem’s best kept secrets. In this Scavenger Hunt you will meet the characters, see the sites and feel the unique vibe of the neighborhood right near the shuk and “town”.

Holy City Scavenger Hunt: (For Christian Groups): This route is designed for Christian visitors to Jerusalem who want to discover and be inspired by the story of an ancient city of Prophets and Kings, Rabbis and ordinary folk who built their homes in Jerusalem and strove to live in peace according to the Scriptures.  With maps, mission packs and information sheets in hand, participants will explore the streets and the sites of Mount Zion and the Jewish Quarter of the Old City. You will meet the people and visit the places that bear testimony to a city which has seen devastating destruction and a miraculous rebirth.  Highlights on this route include visiting King David’s Tomb, learning the dramatic story of the Hurva Synagogue, finding the Menorah/Candelabra that is ready to be used in the Third Holy Temple – and many more exciting discoveries! As you follow In the Footsteps of Kings and Prophets you will see and (and you will also be) living testimony to the Biblical Prophecies in the Holy City of Jerusalem.
