Ariel Center for Jerusalem in the First Temple Period-A Yad Ben Tzvi Project

This museum, tucked away in the Old City, gives its visitors a feeling of Jerusalem in the time of the 1st Temple. The museum is very small and it is recommended to arrange a guide in advance through the museum in order to get the most out of the experience. Guides are available in English. To see everything in the Museum including interactive programs will take 45 min-1 hr.

Ariel center

Audio Visual Presentation: The Spirit of Jerusalem. Accompany an artist as he tries to capture Jerusalem’s unique character, since the time of the 1st Temple.

Model of Jerusalem: See a model of the built up area in Jerusalem in the time of the 1st Temple

Exhibits: Archaeological artifacts that tell the story of Biblical Jerusalem.

Burials and tombs
Ancient Diplomacy: Letters and seals and testimony of the destruction of Jerusalem
Enemies At The Gates: Ancient military practices and strategies.

Sunday-Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm
Open for groups with reservation

18 NIS Adult
14 NIS Child (ages 5+)

How To Get There:
From the Central Square in the Old City (Hurva Sq) take Bonei HaHoma (next to the silver store) till the end and make a left. The Museum is at the corner of Bonei HaHoma and Plugat HaKotel.
