Sports Biking In Jerusalem
Biking has become one of the most popular sports activities in Israel and bike paths have been sprouting up throughout the country. The Ministry of Tourism hopes to increase the number of bike paths and encourage tourists to use bikes to enjoy the beautiful scenic country. Biking_waterThe city recently opened a 10 km bike path in Park Jerusalem which will eventually create a bike ring around the city.

In Jerusalem if you are looking for a bike to rent for the day then your best option is to go to the Abraham Youth Hostel in Davidka Square where you can rent a bike for 70 NIS a day. Hotel drop offs are available for an additional charge.

Guided Bike Tours:

Jerusalem Tour By Bike: Cycling in Jerusalem is probably the best way to see the city, recommended by many past travelers and the Lonely Planet; this is a way to see the real Jerusalem. This 3-5 hour tour covers most of Jerusalem's historical neighborhoods, including many places that most visitors never get to see.  The tour includes, The Israeli Parliament, The valley of the Cross, "Rehavia" and "Talbia", The German Colony, "Mishkanit Shananim", Jaffa Gate the Russian Compound and "Nachlaot", to name only a few. The ride goes through side streets, short cuts and allies, known by few other than our expert guides. Despite the hills around Jerusalem, the ride in the city is not as hard as people tend to think, and the ride can be modified to suite families and inexperienced riders. Ages 12+.
