Each year Fun In Jerusalem creates a
camp directory of the best summer programs for English and Hebrew speaking kids in Jerusalem.
We receive requests from readers who live in Jerusalem and from tourists who plan to spend the summer here. This year summer camps begin on July 1st and there are so many options to choose from. The next few days we will feature different camps that we recommend. Without a doubt, Jerusalem is a great place to spend the summer with your kids.

Soccer Camp-July 1-19
Matnas Gonenim will be having a special sports camp led by Coach Noam Shwartz who runs the successful soccer league for Katamon. Campers will enjoy the brand new soccer field behind Ganei Zion as well as indoor space in the Matnas. The price is unbeatable. 990 NIS for three weeks till 1pm with an option to extend the day till 4pm.
The day begins with morning Tefilla, followed by 2 hours devoted to soccer, on the grass field next to the Matnas. Varied activities throughout the day including basketball, ping-pong, and tennis(at least 3 times during the kaytana).

Challenge Camp: Snappling, Rock Climbing Ropes Course August 5-9.
Give your kids the experience of a lifetime. Fun and exciting while building their self esteem.
Activities include snappling, rock climbing, acrobatic rop walking, the Jerusalem Ropes Course and learning about the land. Run by experienced guides with attention to safety and learning.

Special Needs Camp
Camp Shutaf 
An inclusion camp for kids with special needs in Jerusalem. If your child has special needs or you would like your child to be part of a wonderful camp experience integrating special needs children with children who do not have special needs then this is a great opportunity. The camp is run by the Shutaf organization and takes place in Kiryat Moriah (Arnona) in Jerusalem. They also have teen programs for counselors and counselors in training.
There are three programs
- Ages 6-12 - Varied program including art, drama, sports, self defense, cooking, hip hop dancing, field trip and pool days
- Ages 13-21 - Explorers' Group - Meet at camp for morning circle then off to adventures around town - self defense, volunteering at local soup kitchen, visiting neighborhood businesses, field trip and pool days
- Ages 17-21 - Junior Counselor Program - Paid work as part of counselor team
The camp is open to children of all religious backgrounds and is for boys and girls.

Run by the Jerusalem American International School
Looking for a great customized art program this summer? Do you want to learn how to use a wide range of art supplies? Do you want to create art that represents your personal style and creativity? Hands on 2D and 3D art work.
Session 1: Jerusalem is our paintbrush! This session will start off with a field trip to different locations around Jerusalem where campers will collect pieces of the landscape and learn to use our natural surroundings to create a wide variety of different types of art work!
Session 2: Journey through paper, glass, and sand! Learn an art form that is as old as paper and has been rooted in many cultures for centuries. During this session campers will explore the traditional folk art of Papercutting and create their own work from idea to finished piece. Campers will also be working with glass and a many other exciting art materials.

Ages: 4th-7th Grade
Sessions: July 1-12, July 15-26
