To access the ticket booth go to the far end of the western wall (near the men's section) and you will see the entrance next to the bathrooms.

The Tunnels
Go underground to discover the Western Wall Tunnels – Hidden layers of the Wall are revealed underground. They tell the story of ancient Jerusalem and of generations of longing for it. The tour takes approximately an hour and 15 minutes. Make sure to book this months in advance in order to ensure a spot. Tours are also given at night so it can be a great option for those jet lagged nights.

Opening Hours:
Sunday – Thursday: 7:00am – evening (depending on reservations).
Fridays and on the eve of festivals: 7:00am – 12pm
Closed: Tisha B’av, Yom Kippur Eve and Rosh Hashana

Tours:
Visitation of the site is only through guided tours which must be ordered in advance. Tours are given in English, Hebrew and French (in August).

The Generations Center Generations

A special effects multi media experience combining music, sculpture, archeology and light effects tell the story about the journey of the Jewish people that ends with an amazing view of the Western Wall. The experience is 55 minutes. Making a reservation two months in advance is recommended.

The center is divided into several rooms. Each room exposes the visitor to a different period in the chain of generations of the Jewish people, beginning with the forefathers and twelve tribes and concluding with the establishment of the State of Israel. Each generation is displayed thorugh glass sculptures. This is ideal for ages 11+. The tour is handicap accessible but it is quite dark.

During the tour visitors wear personal headphones and can listen to the tour in a variety of languages.

Closed: Tisha B’av, Yom Kippur Eve and Rosh Hashana

Tours:
Tours are in English and in Hebrew. Tours using headphones are available in Russian, Spanish, French, and German.

Child, Soldier, Senior Citizen 10 NIS

*** Visiting the Generations Center is recommended for children above the age of 11***

The Generations Center is Handicap accessible.

How To Get To The Western Wall…
By Car: One can drive to the Western Wall and park in the following parking lots:

-The Karta Parking Lot & Mamilla Mall Parking Lot – near the entrance to the Old City next to Jaffa Gate (fee).

-The Giv’ati Parking Lot – outside the Dung Gate, opposite the entrance to the City of David (fee).

-The Mount Zion Parking Lot – is meant for buses only (free).

The Old City is closed to regular cars.
