The Israel Museum is one of the leading art and archaeology museums in the world. Founded in 1965, the Museum houses encyclopedic collections, including the most extensive holdings of biblical and Holy Land archaeology in the world.The museum has a variety of children’s activities in the Youth Wing, especially in the summer and during holidays. Children can enter the museum for free on Tuesdays. The Museum also contains the Shrine of the Book, Model of Jerusalem During the 2nd Temple and an outdoor Sculpture Garden. Family Activities:
ArchTellThe museum is well known for its extensive schedule of children’s activities including the archaeological Tell, Mask Making, Scripts and Scrolls, Recycling Room and Caveman Cooking during school holidays.  The Archaeological Tel gives kids a chance to see mosaics up close and try to fill in the missing pieces, dig in an ancient ruin, and learn about the archaeological process by reading the timeline on the wall (Hebrew & English). The Museum also offers a free workbook in Hebrew to guide your kids.  Recycle_WrkshpChildren can also enjoy story theater and storytime in the Museum library as well as the model of the 2nd Temple. How To Get To The Israel Museum…
By Car

From Tel Aviv: Enter the city and make a right on Herzl St and then a left on Wolfsohn. Follow Wolfsohn till you see the museum on the right. You will see the white dome from the Shrine of the Book on your right. Parking is available outside the museum for the general public.
