The Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places in Jerusalem. The vast grounds and beautiful landscape along with the wide selection of animals make this a MUST SEE for kids and adults. The Zoo has jazz events, juggling and workshops during school vacations throughout the year. During the summer they have a special nighttime tour of the zoo. There is also a Zoo Train which takes visitors from the Monkey Park up to the Noah’s Ark. There is a large children’s playground and a petting zoo. 49353-kids20with20sheepJerusalem locals who have young kids often buy a yearly membership to the zoo and use it as their local playground/park. 

Exhibit “Wet Side Story”: Follow a drop of water as it falls in the North of Israel inWetSideStory the Hula Valley and continues on a  worldwide journey, meeting fish and other animals from different habitats in Israel. At the end of the journey, the drop reaches the coral reef of the Red Sea. In its journey, the drop has to pass through human interventions such as dams, contaminated rivers, water pumps, agricultural water and more. This exhibit is contained within three huge water tanks.

The 3D Movie has been cancelled.

Summer Kids Events: Include Night Hikes, Zoo Sleepovers, Bat Workshops, Juggling Shows, Music on the Grass and Vanishing World Exhibit.

Ticket Booth closes one hour before closing time.

Children (Ages 3 – 18), seniors, and soldiers 160 NIS
Student 175 NIS
Adults (Age 19 and up) 210 NIS
Couple 385 NIS
Couple + one child 455 NIS
Couple + two children 495 NIS
Couple + three children and up 520 NIS
A membership card entitles its holder to unlimited admission to the zoo throughout the year. Membership includes a subscription to the zoo’s news magazine Propil, which is delivered regularly by mail. Members are also entitled to discounts at the zoo’s snack bars and souvenir shops, on the zoo train, and at other zoo activities. 

How to get to the zoo . . .
By private vehicle:
At the main entrance to Jerusalem, turn right onto the Herzl Route (in the direction of Mt.Herzl), and at the third traffic light, turn left and immediately right onto the Begin South Freeway. Once on Begin, drive to the end of the Freeway (first traffic light) at Golomb Junction. At the traffic light, turn right (towards Kiryat Yovel). At the next traffic light, turn left (under the bridge). Now, following the signs to the zoo, take the second right turn into the parking lot at the entrance to the zoo. 

By public bus:
The No. 26 Bus, from Mt. Scopus via the Jerusalem Central Bus Station
The No. 33 Bus, from Har Nof and Bayit VeGan
The No. 99 Bus, also known as the Circle Route or the Tourist Route
