The city of Jerusalem will come alive for children and teenagers for two weekends in March. The Children's Winter Festival, sponsored by the Mashbir, will be March 3,4 and March 10, 11. The Museums of Jerusalem will have activities and events including special shows for kids like Cubes Circus at the Museum of Islamic Art and The Magic Flute at the Museum of Italian Art.
If you would like to participate in the special opening ceremony it will be a musical Bell Concert at the YMCA with a special sweets picnic.
If your child likes the outdoors and animals then take them to the special Horse and Pony Rides rides at Havat Amir, just off the Begin hwy. On the second week of the festival there will be an Ice Skating Rink in Kikar Safra: The rink will remain open from March 10-April 14 from 10am-11pm. Take advantage of it while the weather is still cold.
There are also a variety of children's theater performances for the Winter Festival including the Koom Koom Theater which will host a "Beit Cafe" show for kids and Vivaldi's "Seasons" at the Jerusalem Theater.
