YMCA Summer Camp

YMCA "ELEMENTS" SUMMER 2013-Ages 5-14
At the YMCA, kids from different cultures and backgrounds will meet for a fun packed summer of sports, arts, play and music.
All food and meals are kosher. 

The Jerusalem International YMCA is celebrating its 80^th birthday and this year we have an amazing line up of activities for the kids.

We will be exploring the universal elements – Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Metal and Wood through arts and crafts, sports, music, dance, theatre, ecology, cinema and video, photography play and more.

We will hear, see, create dance and act out the stories of these elements whilst learning their significance in cultures from around the world.

Workshops include:

• Arts and Crafts
• Video and Photography
• Music and Singing
• Theatre
• Yoga and Dance
• Earth workshop

Sports activities include:

• Double-dutch (jump rope) -
• Basketball, Soccer, Badminton and open air games
• Swimming instruction and free pool time at the YMCA's indoor pool three times a week delivered by the YMCA's professional team of swimming instructors!

Other activities:

Game room – Kids have free time to have fun playing billiards, foosball and Air hockey in the game room

Out-door inflatables - Jumpy castles, wall climb, spring run and water parks

The YMCA Building and Tower – During the summer campers will learn and explore the beautiful 80 year old building, discovering its hidden secrets – including a tour to the top of the tower along with an exciting visit to the bell room where campers will see how they are played.

The Summer camp campers and group leaders and staff come from varied cultural backgrounds, with many campers coming from all over the world. All activities are delivered in English, Hebrew and Arabic

Three Kosher meals are included:

• Breakfast snack - A bread roll and drink
• Lunch – A full hot lunch with a meat or vegetarian serving, carbs and salad
• Late snack – Fruit/cake/popsicle
