Ein Yael is a Living Museum of Israel and they offer one of the most creative and exciting summer programs.  The camp takes place in a beautiful outdoor setting across the valley from the Biblical Zoo.

It's time to go on vacation! Have a Roman Holiday and go back in time. Spend quality time in nature with animals, plants, artisans and Romans ...Learn the history of ancient artifacts and learn ancient craft skills especially those that connect man to the environment.  You will also learn about flora and fauna.

Session1: The Greatness of Rome

Session 2: Ancient Agricultural Customs
July 21-August 8
Hours: 8:00am to 3:15pm
Cost ₪ 1700

Session 3: Secrets and Mysteries
August 11-26
Hours 8:00am to 3:15pm
Cost ₪ 1400

Activities include:
  • Visit the home of the Roman Governor Ein Yael and get a taste of daily life in Rome
  • Meet the gladiators
  • Prepare togas and laurels
  • Mosaic workshop & Mythology
  • Puppet theater
  • Sports Tournament
  • Become a soldier: build weaponry, learn to ride a horse
  • Nature week: build bird feeders, learn about the sounds of nature, drum circle, winepress
  • Pita baking, wheat harvesting
  • Learn to be a Shepard
  • Pottery
  • Weaving, dying, looming
  • Build a house of mud
  • Make paper, frescos and decipher ancient writing
