SUMMER 2013 – PreSchool- age 9

The Jerusalem American International School Summer School will be running 3 exciting program during the summer of 2013!

The JAIS Program provides a unique summer experience with all activities conducted in English.  Participants do not need to be fluent in English to join in the fun. This program offers children a great opportunity to improve their spoken and written English while having a wonderful summer full of exciting activities.  Through songs, plays, and other fun projects children will learn new words and strengthen their skills. Besides improving English skills throughout the day, children will receive one period a day of more intensive language development.  During this time, children will be divided by language skills. Campers who are already fluent in English will enjoy working on plays and other language based activities.

-          All Summer Program runs from 8:00 till 3:15pm with an extended day option till 4:45pm.

-           All campers will go swimming in the large pool on the Goldstein Youth Village Campus.

-          All programs include a morning snack.

-          For an additional fee your child can purchase the hot lunch (delivered by Eyal Gur kosher catering).

General Program:

This summer we will be traveling with Ms. Frizzle as The Magic School Bus takes us to exciting places (based on the children’s books). Children will learn about plants, animals, space and much more through hands-on science activities and arts and crafts. Every week will also include drama, sports, swimming, cooking, games, storytime and more.

One session a day campers will concentrate on improving spoken English. through songs, plays, and games.  Older children will also work on writing skills. Children will be divided by English skill levels for this portion of the day. Campers who are already fluent in English will enjoy working on plays and other language based activities.

Ages: Children who have completed one year of preschool (age 3) through 3rd grade

Time: 8:00- 3:15 Sunday – Thursday

8:00- 1:30 Friday, no extended day

Extended Day Option: 3:15 – 4:45 Sunday – Thursday

Session 1: Mon.  June 24^th – Friday June 28^th

Session 2: Sun. June 30^th – Friday July 5^th

Session 3: Sun. July 7^th – Friday July 12^th

Session 4: Sun. July 14^th – Friday July 19^th

Session 5: Sun July 21st-Friday July 26th

Fridays goes till 1:30 with no extended day

Price: 680 shekels per week

All of July for 2,580 shekels

3,200 shekels for all 5 weeks of camp.
