Al Derech Burma

Al Derech Burma is a unique "outdoor and sports" tourism facility located 20 minutes outside of Jerusalem in the heart of the Judean Hills on the magnificent Burma Trail.

The Burma Trail on the Shvil Yisroel is a great place for a beautiful bike ride, trail run, hike or relaxing picnic. It is a great place to take your family for a morning or afternoon to enjoy nature and it is just outside Jerusalem.  Make sure to check out their calendar of events including marathon training classes and bike groups.

Activities Include:

• Bike Rentals and Bike Paths (for groups up to 80): bikes are all brand new, high quality hardtail bikes designed for both the mountain adventurer and the casual rider.  They provide everything you need from a water bottle and helmet to a trail map, self-riding and guided riding for all levels.
• Jeeping: Guided jeep rides on some of the lesser known and off-the beaten paths in the area. Learn the history of the Burma Road.
• Lectures and Workshops: Al Derech Burma can design a custom program for your group featuring lectures by colorful personalities, tour guides or local residents on a broad variety of subjects.
• Camping Facilities: This is a great place to take your family camping and they even offer luxurious showers and bathroom facilities with private changing rooms for those who don't like to rough it too much. You can set up your own tents or they can set up a Bedouin style Khan for your family. Bring your own food or let them cater your BBQ. Camping is available from the Spring-Summer.

• a boutique plant nursery
• a delicious kosher dairy cafe open on Fridays for a French or Continental Breakfast and during the week for cake and coffee.
• store: running, cycling, and hiking equipment with exceptional service especially in fitting shoes. Starting from age 7+.

Prices:

• Bike Rental: 65 NIS for 3hrs (kids trailers and kids bike seats available)
• Bike Trail Guides: 450 NIS for 2 hrs (all guided are trained bike mechanics). Moonlight trails available.
  
• Jeeping: 440NIS for 2 hrs (3 people + Driver) All drivers are trained tour guides specializing in the area.
• Defender Jeep: 750 NIS for 2 hrs (8 people + Driver) All drivers are trained tour guides specializing in the area.

How To Get There:

Just off the Shaaar Hagay exit from Highway 1 (The Road to Beit Shemesh), 100 meters before the Mesilat Zion Paz gas station. Look for the sign and colored flags on the right side of Road 38.
